See? Can you make out the signature?

I had no idea who is my Star.. the signature ends with a t. Guess it was Penelope Cruz’s. Searched L’Oreal’s websites – US (nothing), Japan (nothing), Taiwan (yes!) and confirmed mine’s Penelope.

Durability A few hours only. If the the brush is wet, the colour comes out darker and harder to apply. Splashing water doesn’t really make the colour goes away but if you rub it, then it will become lighter.

Length of Use Less than 10 times in 1 month but will be using this practically everyday after I decide to let go of Revlon Wet/Dry Eyeshadow In the Garden (review soon).

Ease of Application 4/5 The quad colours are wider than my finger and it feels soft to touch. The brush is too short for me but it’s handy to use when I cannot use my fingers.

Ease of Removal 4/5 Gentle Cetaphil removes it. No need makeup remover.

About the Brand L’Oreal’s 1 of my favourite drugstore brand. However, lately L’Oreal appointed not so famous anymore model, Linda Evangelista. Give me Laetitia, Noemie or Aishwarya anytime. 1 thing I dislike about L’Oreal is the ads are airbrushed so much. Can you recognize Michelle Yeoh below?

Value for money 4.5/5 since I got this from warehouse sale, it’s damn cheap – almost 50% off retail price. I wouldn’t buy this at retail price without any discount. Pay a few more RM10 and you’ll get better eyeshadows.

This is under limited edition but since there are not many people buying this range – surprisingly – it’s still available at retail! The lipstick is more popular with lots of fairs and promotions but they are not sold out either.

The packaging is in gold letterings and black sharp corners. Classy with artistic flowery on the oval sides. All the colours have shimmer which look great in the casing. Ingredients are listed at the back – I haven’t checked all of them online for side effects. Made in China!

Would buy again? Nah! I still have eyeshadows from 2 years back! Wouldn’t be able to finish this. But I really love all the 3 colours except Guava Pink. I don’t hate Guava Pink but I just use less of it. If I want shimmer on my cheeks, I’d apply that guava pink but only after I had applied a brighter pink on the cheeks. Applying only guava pink will make the area look grayish because of the shine and the pink is not strong enough. Overall, the colours are not strong which is ok because I prefer light makeup over thick and screaming colours haha.

It doesn’t last the whole day but since I got this cheap, it’s fine with me. By the end of 8 hrs, I could only see a little bit of colour.

Check out different ways to apply the other colours / Stars in this range:

(t-p, l-r) Gong Li (China), Ayako Kawahara (Japan), Michelle Reis (Hong Kong), Michelle Yeoh (Malaysia/Hong Kong)

Love Michelle Yeoh’s colours in the pallette but I know it would suck on my skin. Plus, it’s hard to wear such bright blue eyeshadow to serious workplace :S

Hello Magazine – Aishwarya finds her match:

Make-up artist James Kaliardos recommends following his guide to achieve the best results:

1 Use the pencil to draw a line along the roots of the lashes.
2 Apply the darkest shade over the pencil line.
3 Then apply the lighter colours, graduating and shading up towards the brows.
4 For emphasis, create a slightly darker area at the outer corner of the eyelid.
5 Place a hint of light colour at the inner and outer corners of the eyes.
